Please see Statements of the
UFS, Discipline Councils, and Colleges on Pathways, The roster of the UFS General Education Committee is here; CUNY Discipline Councils are here. The UFS holds conferences on topics of general academic interest. The most recent UFS conferences were on Higher Education in the Prisons and General Education & Faculty Authority: CUNY’s Future. Please also look at our other past conferences. The University Faculty Senate also informs the University Community of new documents & proposals up for consideration before the Board of Trustees, and helps provide for appropriate consultation on the issues. One recent example is our Academic Freedom Document; another is an analysis provided by our Budget Advisory Committee on this year's Senior College Allocations. Please see our General Information Site for more faculty governance information. Also of interest: latest issue of the SENATE DIGEST; the 2009 Faculty Experience Survey; and the 2005 Perez v. CUNY Decision. |
